BookingWith lets businesses in Singapore take bookings online. This page explains what we store, why, and who else handles it. We don't sell data and we don't show ads.

Who we are
BookingWith (bookingwith.synthwork.app) is run from Singapore. For anything about your data, email benny@synthwork.app. We follow Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
Each business on BookingWith decides how it uses its own customers' bookings. For questions about a booking, contact that business first; we will help if you can't reach them.
What we store
- Your account. Your name and email address, from signing in with Google or an email code. We never see or store a password.
- Bookings. The service, date and time, your name, phone number, any notes you add, the deposit and whether it was paid.
- Pets (pet businesses only). Your pet's name, type, breed and notes, so the business knows who is coming.
- Businesses. For owners: business name, address, opening hours, services and prices, PayNow details, WhatsApp number and billing email.
We keep this while the account or business exists. An owner can delete their business, which removes its services, bookings and settings.
Google Calendar
A business owner can choose to connect their Google Calendar. We ask Google for two permissions, and use them only for that owner's booking page:
- See when you're busy (free/busy). We only get busy start and end times, never event titles, attendees or details. We use them to hide times you're not available.
- Add and update events. When a booking is confirmed we add it to your calendar (service, customer name and booking details), with a Google Meet link for video meetings, and remove it if the booking is cancelled. We don't read or change your other events.
Google gives us a key to do this, which we store encrypted. Disconnecting in Settings, or deleting the business, deletes the key and tells Google to cancel it. You can also remove access anytime at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
BookingWith's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We don't use Google data for ads, don't sell it, don't use it to train AI models, and no person reads it except when you ask us for help, for security, or when the law requires.
WhatsApp and email
- We only send a WhatsApp reminder if you ask for one, by messaging our WhatsApp number from your booking page. Reply STOP to turn it off.
- Business owners get an email before their free month ends. We don't send marketing emails.
Payments
Deposits are paid by PayNow straight from your bank to the business; we never hold your money or see your bank details. If a business uses card payments, Stripe handles the card and we only store whether it was paid.
Who else handles data
We use these services to run BookingWith. Each only gets what it needs:
- Clerk: sign-in.
- Vercel: hosting the website.
- Neon: the database (in Singapore).
- Google: Calendar, for owners who connect it.
- Meta (WhatsApp): reminders you ask for.
- Resend: sending emails.
- Stripe: card payments, where a business turns them on.
Some of these store data outside Singapore. We only use providers that protect it to a standard comparable to the PDPA.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data by emailing benny@synthwork.app. We reply within 30 days. We use cookies only to keep you signed in.
